Moonbeam's Predilections

This totally doesn't count as part of the porn ping-pong. It's not even enough to be a side-story, more of a side... drabble. Or drabble-and-a-half, I guess.

Either way, it's not my fault! XD

Some spectators of this sport aren't enjoying the game as much as we are. ::snickers:: )

Looking forward to whatever porny goodness the evil bunnies end up leaving you with, [info]katsuko. LOL!

Right. So, [info]katsuko has some kind of evil perverted porn ping-pong powers that I am apparently helpless to resist. She started it by writing this amazingly kinky prompt, which I then had to write. Then she makes it worse by writing a sequel to my fic! That fiend! But the true devious qualities of her ploy are revealed when her sequel entices me into a writing a sequel of my own. A sequel to her sequel, no less!

Yes, yes my friends, she is truly an evil evil creature. With her around, the porn never ends! *eg*

Title: When The Cat's Away, The Mice Will Play
Author: Moonbeam's Predilections
Genre: Transformers G1 -- Kinky sticky fic! (D'uh!)
Pairing: Rumble/Starscream
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 2,500 words

Notes: This story is a sequel to Obscene Comm Calls by [info]katsuko, which is a sequel to Size Doesn't Matter, Except When It Does by me ([info]moonbeamsfanfic), which was written in response to this prompt at [info]tfanonkink, the Transformers Anonymous Kink Meme. You should probably be reading these in order, m'kay?

The cycle of porn and snark continues! Can no one save us! )

EDIT: Changed the title. ::shrugs:: Dang titles are always the hardest part for me.

Moonbeam's Predilections

Written for the Transformers Anonymous Kink Meme at [info]tfanonkink. Original prompt requested Rumble/Starscream size difference with a twist. Kinks include reverse size difference, self-interfacing, voyeurism, competitiveness, dirty talk, multiple overloads, oral, winglust, and snark. Lots and lots of snark! (Oy, those two wouldn't shut up for the snark! *eg*)

Title: Size Doesn't Matter, Except When It Does
Author: Moonbeam's Predilections
Genre: Transformers G1 -- Kink fic
Pairing: Rumble/Starscream
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 8,127 (main story), 2,142 (bonus chapter), 10,269 words total

Summary:
Most Cybertronians have both a spike and a valve, but an unlucky few are only either/or. Rumble formatted as spike-only; Starscream as valve-only. Both suffer disadvantages that often lead to them avoiding interface in favour of self-service. Then Rumble discovers Starscream's similar but opposite problem, and decides to put two and two together to their mutual satisfaction. Sticky, obviously!

Good things DO come in small packages! )

Yay, finally... it's Jack-fic the Second! Supposedly written for the [info]10_inspirations challenge, although I obviously suck at being inspired since it took a convo with [info]lyl_devil in a comment-thread of [info]crimsonquills's to get me to finish it. But hey, look, and it only took me nine months to write! Woot, I'm on a roll!

Moonbeam's Predilections

Once a year, every year, a special time must come. A time to celebrate, to rejoice in our good fortune, and of course, to give presents. Today is that time... for it is the inimitable [info]redwolfoz's birthday. And as her good, dear, and oh-so-lovable friend, I've hauled out my muse and done my best to write her a fic worthy as a gift.

Or, well, that was the intention anyway. I seem to have had a slight problem with her prompt. ::blushes:: Heh.

In line with the requested "vegetation" theme, this supposedly simple little fic idea I had went and grew a plot. A plot! Ficlet's aren't supposed to have plots, 'specially not the b-day prezzie kind! But alas, this one does...

2000 words later, and the real story is only just beginning... )

So now, if my Wolf does not object, I'll take a page out of her book and continue the tale in a series of short interconnected ficlets. If she so desires...

::bows:: By your leave, Red Wolf, I wish you a bountiful and joyous, Happy Birthday!

Yeah, it's not the Jack fics yet, but at least it proves my muse has finally returned from it's year-long vacation. ;)

This was written earler today as a comment fic prezzie for [info]crimsonquills's birthday. I was originally planning to continue it until the inevitable smutty conclusion, but work intruded and I lost my rhythm. Luckily, it seems to end on a fairly suitable point so I'm not too worried about finishing it. I may or may not get around to writing the actual porn later on... sorry, Nix!

Um, happy birthday anyway? XD

It's mild slash, obviously: Gibbs and Tony, with kissing! Yay! )

For those of us who aren't good enough at commitment to survive one of the "100 Prompts" table challenges going around, [info]kayim and [info]siluria have created a variation on the theme:

[info]10_inspirations

Pick a fandom, pick a character, pick a pairing... stake your claim, whatever it be, then all you've got to do is choose 10 prompts from the list to write fics for. 10! Not a hundred, just a small un-intimidating ten! Hey, that's easy enough even I can do it!

And so I will, even with my long-absent muse. :) I'm signed up to do Jack O'Neill, possibly entirely in crossovers because I had a hard time choosing which fandom to focus on and I'm just that greedy. ::snerk::

Look out, world! Moon's going to start writing again! Mwuahahah!

OMG! Never, ever, ever would have guessed this pairing would work so well, but daaammmnnnn! So so hot! GUH!

Written for the Earthside Challenge at [info]sga_flashfic, authors [info]tzi and [info]zaganthi have surprised, amazed, and melted the spines of dozens of readers with their awesomely perfect and scorchingly hot Stargate: Atlantis and Supernatural crossover.

Click here for HOT GAY PORN!!

Seriously, I know what you're thinking. There's no way Rodney and Dean would ever get together, right? Yeah, well after reading this you can't imagine them not! OMG! Guh to the nth power!

And the CARS!?! ::lusts after the Impala:: GUH!

(Damn, if this story was that hot with Dean and Rodney? I shudder to think what it would have been like with Dean and John. They'd probably have set fire to the motel room by simple virtue of their overwhelming hotness... ::whimpers::)

So my mum's in town this week. It's about an 8 hour drive from where she lives to here, 800km or 600mi, whatever floats your boat. Basically a full day on the road, and most definitely a full tank of gas (or two, depending on the size of the vehicle) to drive it. Consequently, when my mum and I decided to go out for lunch today, we had to fill up her car first before we could. So we stopped at Esso and my mum got out to pump the petrol... ten seconds later she's pounding on my window shreaking about what she found in the gas tank: A huge mama orb spider! ::boggles:: A spider! In a gas tank! With babies! WTF?!

Obviously, given the nest full of baby spider eggs, mama orb had been there for at least a day or two. Which means she crawled in at Fort Mac, and stayed put for the entire 800km drive to Calgary. Now, maybe it's just me, but I think choosing to lay your eggs next to something as toxic as a gasoline tank is pretty much one of the stupidest things a spider could do. Those babies didn't stand much chance for survival where they were, so I didn't feel too guilty scraping the nest out with a piece of paper towel. Mama got safely relocated to a grove of flowers, though. Hopefully she'll lay new eggs in that much more welcoming environment.

Still, I gotta ask, why the gas tank? What goes through a spider's mind that makes her think that's a good place to nest? Seriously!

***

Also, I have no idea how I never knew about this before, but there's an awesomely long early season Stargate: SG-1/MacGyver crossover over at Chevron Two called "Thicker Than Water" by Margaret Martin. I'm only half-way through chapter four so I can't tell how it's gonna end, but so far it's very interesting, well-written, and excellently in-character. A good find. Yay for me! :D

***

EDIT: Apparently, today is the day for spiders. I just had a jumping spider hop onto my keyboard. Cute little guy, but so not the place for him to be. Off to the backyard he goes... ::le sigh::

God! Earlier this afternoon, I finished beta-reading a 46,000 word novel for [info]crimsonquills that I've been working on for the past week. It was long, it was plotty, it had scorchingly hot sex scenes, and it made me squee like a giddy fiend in outrageously happy joy almost all the way through.

Ten minutes ago, I read [info]shade_shifter's new House fic. It isn't even two pages long, has no plot, and the sex is only barely mentioned. But it is so powerfully, intensely, incredibly well written that it swept through me with the terrifying wrath of a flash flood and left me a beaten, shattered carcass by the side of my lacerated, blood-drained heart.

These two fics -- neither of which is yet posted -- could not be more opposite. One carried me to the ultimate heights of pleasure, and the other smashed me down on the lowest of emotional rocks. Yet, each of them is a pinacle of writing ability that left me breathless and aching for more, more, more!

God! I am the LUCKIEST beta-reader on the planet!

......

Of course, if someone wanted to rec me some nice, safe, sweetly comforting little fics right now to soothe my aching heart... I wouldn't object in the least. ;)

EDIT: Shift's angsty House/Wilson fic, The Way It Goes is now posted!

Man, today? Am I ever! I am/will be beta-ing for FOUR people today! 4! Holy crap!

details hidden to save your flists )

So you see? I'm totally the Beta-Reader of Death today. Hence the pathetic attempt at iconage. :D

Oh, and [info]reoune? I know I promised you an email, but would mind waiting until tomorrow? I'm on a roll right now and don't want to throw myself off track. Thanks!

Stargate: Atlantis authors liketheriver and Koschka --- for SLASH stories, see their combined works at likethekoschka or Wraithbait -- are the BESTEST, BRILLIANTEST, AND MOST GENEROUS-EST PEOPLES EVER!! ::throws roses at their feet::

They have tracked down anyone who has ever reviewed and recommended their fics and sent them a very special Christmas present -- a free, never-before-seen, unavailable anywhere else, for our eyes only, holiday Christmas story! SQUEE!

Now, I admit, I almost deleted the message as spam when I saw it was from "Rodney McKay", but curiousity got the better of me and I opened it instead. And I'm so glad I did! Oh, the story is beautiful! I would love so much to be able to share it with you, but alas I can not. It came with a caveat that it not be 'regifted' on acount that they plan on posting it later, after they finish their current in-progress fic.

So let me just take this moment to tell everyone, especially the SGA fans (and especially the John and Rodney snark fans!) to do yourselves a favor and go read River and Koschka's fics RIGHT NOW! Go shoo, read! They are hilarious as hell, I guarantee you won't regret it. :D

~*~*~*~*~*~

Also, for my fellow Secret Lair denizens, [info]reoune has finished her next Lair-fic called Just Where Is This?! that you must all read -- if only for the early warning it may give you. Deona's getting wily, and has decided to change her hunting plans. Really, you guys need to read this story... it's for your own safety! ;P

Pardon my forgetfullness, I forgot (duh!) to make sure everybody knew [info]dknightshade had posted the next part of her Lair-fic series: A Whumping We Will Go.

It, like the title implies, is a story guaranteed to cause our dear savage Puddy-Tat, the great [info]pheral, much joy. Poor Jack...

We only whump because we care. :)

Written literally quite late (I finished at 4:30am last night, er... earlier this morning) for the Remus/Sirius Raising Harry Ficathon. All stories are, obviously, AU kidfics with a background slash-based relationship. But the terms of the ficathon, having been conceived in May and June, are that there are no HBP-spoilers in any of the stories.

In response to:
Challenge # 7: Harry encounters problems at school (Muggle or Wizarding) because his guardians are a same-sex couple.

Miss Tupping is concerned about her favourite student. )

Author's Notes: This wasn't the story I'd intended to write, being much more serious and dark than my usual wont, but it is what wanted itself written. Hope the challengee isn't too disappointed. Thanks to [info]xwingace for the last minute beta.

Hey, look! My muse made an appearance! ::cheers::

It's short, but it's a start. ;) Now if only I can hold on to it long enough to write that ficathon story I've got due in a week, everything would be great.

A Wolf&Declán!verse drabble, for Red Wolf )

There's also more Lair-fic to squee over, as both [info]reoune and [info]dknightshade have posted the next adventures of their Secret Lair serieses. Be sure to catch Deona's A Surprising Encounter and Shady's Another Fine Mess -- although I think most of you have seen the latter one by now already. ;P

As [info]reoune so graciously reminded me, I've been terribly remiss in sticking to my supposed one-rec-per-day schedule. ::coughs, blushing:: Erm... at least I managed to do two whole days before I lost the plot -- wow, look at me go! ;P

My only excuse is that I've been so busy reading so many perfectly marvelous fics I've had no time to write a review. So here's seven to make it up:

A week's worth of recs, yay! )

Also, while watching the Viewer's Choice seaQuest marathon on Space: The Imagination Station today, I saw a preview for The Sentinel. Woot, oh glorious woot! I have all the episodes on tape, but its always fun to watch fresh on TV too. ::does a happy dance:: Fall will be a good TV season, if this kind of thing keeps up. WOOT!!
